The Gilbert Photon Match Ball is a mid-range tournament rugby ball ideal for club and university level use. With the specially designed G-S rubber compound surface and standard grip, the players can present the finest moves with the peace of mind that the Photon will deliver the best. Along with this, the Truflight™ valve ensures the match balls can remain inflated throughout every game.

The higher the model in the Gilbert Match Ball range, the higher the % of Natural Rubber used in the rubber compound. Natural Rubber offers higher performance for a shorter period of time – hence the “Match” function. Training Balls are made with a higher % of synthetic rubber, which performs at a lower level, but for a longer period of time.

The Photon Match Ball sits in the middle of the Gilbert Match Ball range, as a 3 Star Match Ball – offering the ideal balance between performance and longevity.
